New Chevrolet Spark Available for Inland Empire Family in Need - Colonies Holiday Miracles Asks for Submissions
Colonies Partners LP, Mark Christopher Auto Center and Larson O’Brien LLP have donated a 2017 Chevrolet Spark as part of their continued support of financially struggling families living in the Inland Empire. Organizers are now requesting submissions for the car no later than Dec. 1, 2017.
One car will be given to a family in need as part of the tenth annual Colonies Holiday Miracles event. Families must verify a demonstrable financial need and live in the Inland Empire.
Participants may mail or drop off a letter at designated sites including this information: name, email, phone number and physical address. In 350 words or less, they should write why they might be selected. Organizers are looking for details of situation and future plans. The letter must be postmarked or dropped off by Dec. 1.
“Over the past ten years as part of the Colonies Holiday Miracles event, local business owners have helped thousands of children and their financially struggling families celebrate the holidays with a shopping spree. Now, with the generosity of the Leggio family and the Larson O’Brien law firm, we can provide a car to a family in need as well,” said Jeff Burum, co-managing partner of Colonies Partners LP.
The children and their families who will attend this year’s Colonies Holiday Miracles were referred by Hope Through Housing, House of Ruth, OPARC, Children’s Fund, Children’s Hope, Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino, Pacific Lifeline, Foothill Family Shelter, Haynes Family of Programs, Eagle’s Wings, and the Scheu Family YMCA of Upland.
“Colonies Holiday Miracles is one of my family’s favorite events because it creates a special holiday memory for children, and now we can help even more by donating a car to a worthy family,” said Chris Leggio, President of Mark Christopher Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC and Mountain View Chevrolet.
“Our firm believes in investing in our communities, and this event truly makes a difference for folks struggling to provide for their families,” said Stephen Larson, partner at Larson O’Brien LLP.
Major sponsors include Pacific Development Group, Frontier Communities, Kohl’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Target, Albertsons and Home Depot.
